Obviously, many men seek traits in a wife that modern American women are not willing or interested in providing!" stated Cooper.
"Historically, marriage has benefitted men. He got a dowry, a virgin, someone to take care of his home, bear his children, provide wifely services, and who felt obligated to please him at all costs. Men seeking a traditional marriage long for a return to the good ole days; modern women eschew such ideals. Women are instead looking for an emotional connection to their husbands, to feel that they have a solid partnership along with his admiration and support. These serious differences in expectations appear to be direct contributors to the high U.S. divorce rate."
