Tisha M. Deshields Recognized for Excellence in Internet Retail Business Management
Tisha Deshields creates fiberglass and custom-decorated plaster casts of pregnant bellies.
College Park, GA, April 24, 2009 /Marriage - Relationships PR News/ -- Tisha M. Deshields, Founder and Creator of Original Belly Works, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of internet retail business management.
Tisha Deshields launched Original Belly Works when she hit upon the idea of designing fiberglass and custom-decorated plaster casts of pregnant bellies while she was pregnant with her fourth child. Awestruck by the beauty and promise of a pregnant woman's form, she realized that no gift could be more poignant than providing the expectant mother a way to preserve the splendor of pregnancy. While designing the sculpture, she realized that she wanted to immortalize the same memory for each of her children. She began to research the possibility of producing a copy of her pregnant form. In so doing, the idea to offer this creation to all mothers was born.
Tisha Deshields currently has three patents and Original Belly Works is the only business of its kind offering the fiberglass sculpture. In her quest for launching a successful business, Tisha attended Entrepreneurial Development Network (EDN), a focused course enabling entrepreneurs to elevate to the next level and launch a business. Prior to her career as a mom, she attended the University of Tennessee/ Knoxville on a full track and field athletic scholarship (1989-1991), majoring in Elementary Education. She left UT after marrying her then MLB player (1990) husband. She continued her education and changed her major to Business Marketing/Management at Northwood University, a business school, in West Palm Florida (1995-1996).
