/Marriage - Relationships PR News/ - Dobbs Ferry, NY, September 12, 2008, Dr. Allan S. Mohl, Psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of psychotherapy and social work.
Dr. Mohl boasts more than 47 years of professional experience where he specializes in marriage, individual and family counseling. He became involved in his profession following his service in the Army as a specialist in social work. He attributes his success to his hard work, dedication and conscientious and empathetic nature. The highlights of his career were developing the TIP Neighborhood House Family Unit, a community based agency, and writing grant proposals to keep the program running. In addition to his experience in private practice, Dr. Mohl worked with students of New York City schools as a therapist for 18 years.
Dr. Mohl received his Ph.D. in Health and Human Services from Columbia Pacific University in 1991 and a Master's Degree in Sociology from New York University in 1956. In 1960, he received a Master's Degree in Social Service from New York University. He is a member of the New York State Society of Clinical Social Work and the National Association of Social Workers. He has been recognized by Marquis Who's Who in the East, America and the World. He served on the Committee on Special Education of the New York City Board of Education from 1984 to 2002, is a volunteer for the New York City Disaster Counseling Coalition and was the developer of the Humor Cart Program for White Plains Medical Center. An avid public speaker, Dr. Mohl has made numerous presentations at psychohistorical conventions at New York University and Fordham University. A published author, he has written various articles and three books of poetry.
