Rising marriage expenses call for more finances

/Marriage - Relationships PR News/ - LONDON, UK, June 25, 2006 - Almost 20 per cent of Brits need to borrow to meet their marriage expenses amidst rising cost of marriage in the UK. Many of those already engaged are underestimating the cost of marriage by as much as 155 per cent.
A research from Alliance and Leicester, one of the UK's major financial services group shows that nearly 20 per cent of the UK residents will need to borrow in order to meet their marriage expenses.
The Bank offers a personal loan rate of 5.9 per cent for borrowings ranging from 5,000 to 20,000. Personal loans may be secured or unsecured loans. Unsecured personal loans command a higher rate of interest when compared to secured personal loans.
The present average cost of a typical wedding in the UK is over 17,000. This makes it
13 per cent more as compared to corresponding figure of 15,000 in the previous year.

Alvey said that by choosing a low-rate loan, borrowers could save almost 850, otherwise they could be making unnecessary overpayments on higher interest rates.
